The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has filed rape charges before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office against an officer of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
Lt. Jose Roco Tirasol, 40, of the Service Support Group, Philippine Fleet, Philippine Air Force, Sangley Point, Cavite City, was charged after a 21-year-old woman claimed he sexually abused her at the Officers Quarters of Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City last March 30.
In her complaint, the woman, who is also residing at the PAF Sangle Air Base in Cavite City, said she met the suspect at Gate 1 of Camp Aguinaldo on March 30. Upon learning that they were both going to visit the same person inside the Camp, she said she agreed to go with the suspect to see their common friend, a certain Sherly.
On their way home, she asked Tirasol where she could find a comfort room and he offered the mens room at the Officers Quarters in Molina Hall.
Tirasol allegedly followed her to the comfort room and instructed her to proceed to his room inside the quarters so she would not be seen by military men.
He claimed that women are not allowed inside the quarters.
But he allegedly prevented her from leaving the room and sexually abused her.
Charges of arbitrary detention and simple theft were also filed against the PAF officer.
