More infra projects in Las Piñas

-
Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar has announced that more quality infrastructure projects, on top of the 100 projects completed last year, will be implemented to improve the living condition of city residents.

Reports obtained from the city engineering office showed that among the priority projects for implementation was the repair and improvement of Las Piñas East National High School.

Other projects include the concreting and asphalting of roads, installation and repairs of drainage systems and canals, construction of motorized and manual deep wells, fabrication and installation of playground equipment and construction of health centers, day-care centers, barangay halls, police stations and basketball courts.

"It’s always been my desire to give priority to projects that are beneficial to our people. I’d like them to know that their taxes are being spent wisely," Aguilar said.

City Engineer Rose Bantog said that every year, the city government draws up a list of projects giving priority to education and health facilities, construction of roads and repairs of drainage systems.

Aguilar also stressed that the completion of various projects were made possible due to the city administration’s prudent spending of taxpayers’ money and from the P100- million savings generated from garbage disposal and collection program when his administration decided to no longer hire a private contractor.

"The people of Last Piñas deserve no less than a free and quality public service," Aguilar reiterated.
