The victims were identified as Bienvenido Samoranos, 40, house painter and his wife Cecilia de Chavez-Samoranos, 34, both of Block 14, Lot 6-B, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.
The couples already decomposing bodies were found some 12 hours after they were overheard engaged in a heated argument by neighbors.
Initial investigation showed an unnamed niece of Cecilia found the couple at around eight in the morning yesterday in the couples bedroom on the houses second floor.
Probers gathered that Cecilia bore bruises and contusions in the face and body and ligature marks on the neck. Bienvenido was taken down from the bedroom ceiling as soon as Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) men arrived at the scene. Probers theorized Bienvenido could have killed his wife in the heat of passion and later hanged himself in despair and guilt.
Witnesses told probers the couple were arguing over a plan of the wife to return to her job overseas which was vigorously opposed by her husband. He allegedly was wary and suspicious, accusing her of having another man in her life.
