Belmonte lauds CPD for bringing honors to QC

Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. has lauded the Central Police District (CPD) for bringing honors to the city as it was recently adjudged as the "Best Police District" by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).

The Cubao Police Station was also adjudged as the best community precinct of the NCRPO while six other police stations — Novaliches, Baler, Lagro, Galas, Talipapa and Batasan — were rated as among the 10 top police stations in Metro Manila.

The police stations were chosen for their operational readiness, effectiveness and unrelenting efforts in addressing peace and order concerns.

Aside from the honors reaped by the police stations, two of the Ten Most Outstanding Policemen of the Philippines — Police Supt. Raul Medina Jr. of the Central Investigation Unit and SPO4 Reynaldo Medina Jr. – are from the CPD.

Chief Supt. Napoleon Castro, CPD director, attributed the achievements of the Quezon City police to the support of the city government in anti-crime campaign and police management.

Aware of the role of law enforcers in helping build an atmosphere conducive to business, Mayor Belmonte has recently turned over 25 brand new Revo patrol cars, 40 brand new Mosberg pistol grip assault shotguns, 250 brand new Taurus pistols, 84 sando type and 45 tactical armored vest, 28 Honda motorcycle units and 40 spectra ceramic plates to the CPD.

Mayor Belmonte has always underscored the need of law enforcers to raise the level of commitment and dedication to public service, as he assured his continued support to the PNP’s drive against all forms of criminality.
