5 drug users arrested in Malabon

Agents of the Northern-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (NCIDG) arrested five alleged drug users while in a shabu session Saturday night in Malabon City.
Supt. Gene Ines Abrajano, NCIDG officer-in-charge, identified the suspects as Michael Benido, 31; May Lamaza, 18; Edgar Macapugas, 19; Silverio Repil, 21; and Leodigario Convocar, 25; all of Gozon Compound, Paradise Village, Malabon City.
The suspects were arrested by joint elements of the NCIDG, Malabon City police Drug Enforcement Unit and the civilian volunteers against crime at around 6:30 p.m. inside Benidos residence while reportedly in the act of sniffing shabu.
Police seized from the suspects two sachets of shabu, three lighters, an improvised tooter, aluminum foil and other shabu sniffing paraphernalia.
The suspects are now detained at the NCIDG detention cell. Charges will be filed against them today at the Malabon City fiscals office. Pete Laude
