NFA to transfer office to Ortigas

National Food Authority (NFA) administrator Arthur Yap announced that the NFAs central office along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in Quezon City will soon transfer to One San Miguel Building in Ortigas, Pasig City.
The transfer, however, is temporary pending the construction of NFAs building along Visayas Avenue in Quezon City, Yap said.
The buildings construction, through a build-operate-transfer scheme, has been discussed by the NFA Council, however, financial constraints has delayed the project.
"We want the private sector to take the step to invest and build us a home on the basis of our actual needs and allow us to pay them for a period of time at our normal lease rates," Yap appealed.
The NFA Central Office has occupied Matimyas and Tengsico buildings in Quezon City since 1977. The rental fee at One San Miguel Building was reportedly lower.
