Gas tanker rams post, hardware shop in Parañaque

A 33-year-old driver was seriously injured after the gas tanker he was driving rammed on a concrete post and a residential-commercial establishment in Parañaque early yesterday morning.
Victim Wilson Cuartel, of Block 8, Lot 6, Dulong Bayan, San Mateo, Rizal was rushed to a nearby hospital for sustaining bruises in the body and broken feet.
Initial reports reaching the traffic sector of the city disclosed that the Caltex gasoline tanker (PXE-573) that was driven by Cuartel was traversing Canaynay Avenue at around 5 a.m. when he lost control of the steering wheel.
The wayward truck consequently hit on a Smart concrete post and a hardware shop at the corner of Canaynay Avenue and Ruby St . in Barangay San Dionisio.
Cuartel was found slumped, his feet trapped, in the steering wheel.
Traffic investigator SPO 4 Milla Santos surmised that the accident might have been caused by the slippery road brought about by rains. Katherine Andraneda
