Body fished out of Pasig River

A 42-year-old drowning victim was fished out of the Pasig River Friday night in Pasig City.
Police identified the fatality as Alfredo Flores, a resident of Narra street, Centennial 2 AIMNIA, Barangay Nagpayong, Pasig.
It was learned that Flores was on board a banca collecting shellfish along the said river in the portion covering Barangay Napindan of neighboring Taguig with friends Jade Columnar and Jesus Castro at around 3:30 p.m. Friday when four unidentified men started hurling stones at them.
Flores and his companions jumped into the river to avoid getting hit. However, one hit Flores, knocking him out and preventing him to swim to safety.
Hours of rescue operations later resulted in the recovery of Flores lifeless body in the Pasig River.
Police are conducting further investigation to identity the suspects who hurled stones on Flores group. Rainier Allan Ronda
