Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death by two men in front of his home in Makati City at 1:15 a.m. yesterday
PO2 John Ramirez of the Makati Police Homicide Division identified the victim as Romlan Lanutan, an employee and resident of Kabute Street, Barangay West Rembo, Makati City.
Lanutans aunt, Cecilia Rojo, told the police the incident happened just minutes after she got home with Lanutan and his father from a visit to their relatives at Better Living Subdivision in Parañaque City.
Rojo said that she and the victims father entered the house while Lanutan remained outside while talking to someone on his cellphone.
After a few minutes Rojo went outside to check on her nephew and saw that he was having an argument with two men.
She identified the two men as Alexito Arindain and Bryan Lavisto, both residents of the same compound.
After a heated argument, the two suspects pulled out an ice pick and a kitchen knife and started stabbing Lanutan.
Rojo tried to intervene but she was chased with a knife by one of the suspects.
Rojo said she managed to hide in an alley and waited there for several minutes, fearing for her life.
When she finally emerged from the alley, Lanutan had been brought to the Ospital ng Makati, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigators are still investigating the incident and are hunting down the two suspects. Marvin Sy
