Fire razes 15 homes in QC

At least 15 houses were gutted when a fire broke out at a squatters area in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City yesterday.
There were no injuries or deaths reported, investigators said. The blaze reached Task Force Bravo.
Initial reports showed that the fire started at about 12:45 p.m. at a squatters area in Kasiyahan street, Don Antonio Heights in Barangay Holy Spirit. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the blaze.
Panic-stricken residents carried what they could of their meager belongings and could only watch from a distance as their houses burned.
They were immediately evacuated to safety. A barangay hall was set up as temporary shelter for affected families. The Quezon City government is expected to provide relief goods, firefighters said. Matthew Estabillo
