Two suspected car thieves were killed in a shootout with members of the Philippine National Police-Traffic Management Group (TMG) yesterday in Parañaque City.

Superintendent Ronald Estiles, chief of police of Parañaque City said that the incident took place at around 2 p.m. inside the Marina Subdivision along the President Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque City.

He identified the two suspects as Danilo Camilo, 40 and Alfonso Rivera, 37, both residents of Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City, Rizal.

The two suspects had been under surveillance by a five-man TMG team, led by Inspector Christian Aberia. The TMG team, on board a patrol car, approached the suspects’ light green Toyota Tamaraw FX, which had no license plates.

Police identified the suspects from their temporary driver’s license found inside their wallets.

Camilo’s abdomen had a tattoo bearing the word "Buda-P" while his thigh bore the name "Aurora Pilapil."

Recovered from the suspects were two caliber .38 caliber pistols and a Yamaha motorcycle which was inside the Tamaraw van.
