Sportsfest for leukemic kids
April 9, 2003 | 12:00am
The Leukemic Indigent Fund Endowment (LIFE) is once again staging "Sports For LIFE," the annual mini-Olympics for children afflicted with leukemia and other blood disorders. This years event will be held on Sunday, April 27, 7 a.m. to 12 noon at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
LIFE has been staging the event for several years now to provide its member patients and their loved ones respite from the rigors of chemotherapy and other forms of treatment. Through the event, LIFE intends to raise public awareness about leukemia in children and how this is now treatable and curable provided there are funds for medicine and treatment.
Sports for LIFE is supported by Tex Mex Inc., Nicanor P. Jacinto Jr. Foundation, NFO Trends, Miramar Development Corp., the Society of Industrial Residential Counsel Realty Organization (SIRCRO), and other generous private individuals.
For further information please contact the office of LIFE at the Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Banawe Quezon City, tel. no. 740-7346.
