Belmonte will start the day with the formal opening of the citys jobs fair, the first to be conducted by the city government this year, at the Quezon City Hall Covered Walk at 8 a.m.
The job fair, initiated through the Industrial Relations Office (IRO), will be participated by 40 firms catering to local and overseas employment.
Belmonte distributed yesterday Philhealth cards to the citys 1,058 barangay security development officers (BSDO), entitling them to hospitalization and medicine discounts in Philhealth-accredited hospitals in Quezon City.
At 6 p.m. today, the mayor will inaugurate the newly-constructed Commonwealth Elementary School, and the SB Park, all in Barangay Commonwealth.
The projects have been described by Department of Public Order and Safety chief Manuel Sabalza as "the transformation," turning the once traffic and vendor-ridden area into an orderly commerce zone.
Before the inauguration, Belmonte will administer the oathtaking of youth and non-government organization of Barangay Commonwealth led by Barangay Captain Jose Gaviola.
