Quezon City has been chosen to host the launching program of the month-long activity, in observance of the National Arts Month, initiated by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts and the Quezon City government.

Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr., taking cognizance of the cultural value of the occasion, has committed P1 million to the project, on behalf of the city government.

A colorful parade of participants wearing bright-printed T-shirts, cheered by hundreds of spectators who lined up along the route from the QC Hall to Visayas Avenue, the venue of the February festivities, after a brief program at past 3 p.m. The organizer, the Sining at Komunikasyon, Adbertaysing at Pablising (SIKAP) has lined up several activities during the month-long celebration which will culminate on Feb. 23.
