Caught in the act

Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned.
A man, who should be home in the arms of his wife, was beaten to a pulp by the latter after he was caught in a tight embrace with a guest relations officer (GRO) of a videoke bar Wednesday night in Caloocan City.
The "battered" husband was identified as Fernando Naguiat, 43, of 14-D PNR Compound, Caloocan City. He sustained bruises, contusions in the body and, worse, a suspected cracked skull caused by a lead pipe used on him by his wife.
SPO2 Antonio Paran said the wife, Elisa Naguiat, 29, living in the same address, fled after the incident around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Initial investigation showed the husband was a regular customer of the bar along C-3 Road. That night he was with two of his friends, who were not named.
The same night, his wife, apparently suspicious of his frequent "night out with friends," secretly followed him from the house. After an hour, she went inside the bar.
Once inside, her suspicions were proven right. She saw her husband, who had apparently taken one drink too many, having the time of his life and smooching with the female entertainer at his table. Unable to control her rage, she attacked like a raging bull and hit her husbands head with a pipe she took along with her.
The victim, who did not know what hit him, fell like a log on the floor, with his wife following up with more blows to his body. The woman later left, witnesses said.
Probers said the victim lost consciousness and came back to his senses while confined at the Manila Central University (MCU) Hospital. He went out of the hospital yesterday morning after treatment of his injuries. Jerry Botial
