Pasig fire station bags 4 awards

Pasig City firefighters have once again proven they are the best in their field.

During the recent Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region Office "Fire Service Recognition Day," the Pasig City Central Fire Station bagged four major awards, namely: Best Fire Station of the Year (for two consecutive years); Most Outstanding Senior Fire Officer of the year for F/Superintendent Aloveel Ferrer, MPSA, Pasig City fire marshal (for two consecutive years); Best Senior Non-Officer Rank of the Year for SFO3 Herminigildo Cataluña Jr. and Best Junior Non-Officer Rank of the Year for FO3 Rodolfo Gonzales.

Ferrer thanked Pasig City Mayor Soledad Eusebio and former Mayor Vicente Eusebio for their relentless effort to modernize the station which greatly contributed for their eventual selection as Best Fire Station of the Year along with the Makati City Fire Station.

"The mayor’s modernization program for the city fire station has tremendously improved and boosted the morale of all Pasig City firefighters which resulted into an effective and efficient fire service in the city," Ferrer said.
