Trader runs amuck, Pasig neighbors critically hurt

-
Unable to find his missing wife, a businessman ran amuck in Pasig City yesterday shooting and critically wounding his two neighbors. The suspect, Marvin de Guzman, 29, of Dr. Sixto Ave., Barangay Maybunga, Pasig City escaped after the incident. He is now being hunted by the police.

His neighbors, Catherine Logrates, 26, and Ronald Alonzo, 23, sustained a gunshot wound each in the body. They are now fighting for their lives at the Pasig City General Hospital.

Reports showed that De Guzman went to the house of Logrates at about 12:30 a.m. yesterday looking for his wife. He left when Logrates informed him that his wife was not in her house. However, after a few minutes, De Guzman, armed with a caliber .38 revolver was heard shouting invectives outside Logrates’ house.

The victim confronted De Guzman and a heated argument ensued. It was at this point when de Guzman pulled out his gun and opened fire at Logrates, the bullet hitting her in the left side and exiting at the right side of her body.

The same bullet hit a bystander, Lorenzo, also in the stomach. De Guzman escaped on board a tricycle while responding barangay watchmen rushed Logrates and Lorenzo to the hospital. Non Alquitran
