Man shoots wife

A 34-year-old housewife is now fighting for her life after she was allegedly shot by her own husband following a heated verbal tussle around midnight Friday in Caloocan City.
Claudia Soriano, of 1 Hanoy Homes Subdivision, Camarin, Caloocan City, sustained a single bullet wound in the head is under observation at the FEU General Hospital in Fairview, Quezon City, police said.
The victims husband, Celso Soriano, 40, employee, went into hiding and is now being sought by the police.
Police prober PO3 Dicoroso Domingo said the shooting incident occurred in front of a sari-sari store in Hanoy Homes Subdivision at about 11:30 p.m.
The victim and her husband were reportedly overheard by their neighbors shouting at each other, and moments later the duo came out of their house.
The argument continued even on the street, where the husband, apparently drunk and armed with a handgun, shot his wife once. Pete Laude
