An 18-year-old student was found dead in an apparent suicide yesterday morning in Makati City.
Police Officer 2 Juvenal Barbosa identified the victim as Dennis Lozano, a senior at the Fort Bonifacio High School and a resident of 88-D, 21st Avenue, Barangay East Rembo, Makati City.
The victim was discovered by his mother Imelita at around 7:30 a.m. He was hanging from the ceiling of his room by a rope looped around his neck.
Lozanos brother Crisanto told the police that the last time he saw his brother alive was at around 4 p.m. last Friday when he was with his girlfriend.
A suicide note was found near the body of the victim saying "Goodbye, Im sorry if I was a burden to all of you," in Filipino.
Aside from the bruises caused by the rope around his neck, there were no other signs of external injuries on the body of the victim.
According to the investigators, the victim was being pressured to settle a debt incurred from his purchase of an appliance on installment basis.
