Fire hits Quiapo

A fire of still unknown origin struck a residential area in Arlegui, Quiapo, Manila early evening yesterday.
Reports from the Manila Fire Department said the fire started from a house at 421 Nepomuceno Street corner Arlegui Street at about 5:48 p.m.
The fire soon reached the Task Force Delta alarm, with more than 10 firetrucks responding to the scene as of 6:45 p.m. Affected by the fire were houses built mostly of light materials.
According to the Manila Fire Department, the narrow streets leading to the area affected by the fire is hampering the firefighting operations.
Vehicular traffic meanwhile leading to the scene of the fire turned heavy as firetrucks made their way.
