Life term for snatcher

A Quezon City court has sentenced a 21-year-old parking attendant to life imprisonment after he was found guilty of killing a Jollibee crewman, whom he robbed of a cell phone inside a passenger jeepney last y ear.
In a 19-page decision, Judge Monina Zenarosa found sufficient evidence to convict Edwin Abordo, single, of Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City, of the charges of robbery with homicide filed by the family of Richard Aumentado, 20, single of 85 Tomas Morato Street, Quezon City.
The court ordered Abordo to civil indemnity, moral and compensatory damages amounting to P700,000 to the heirs of Aumentado, represented in the case by his mother Nilda Aumentado. Pia Lee-Brago
