Police are now hunting two houseboys after they robbed and mauled to death their 81-year-old Chinese employer the other night inside her house in Novaliches, Quezon City.
Victim Go Siok Ai, a retired businesswoman and a resident of 47-B Antonio Street, Novaliches Proper, sustained serious head injuries and died while receiving treatment at the Hope General Hospital.
The suspects were identified as Willy Notar, 19, and Ramil Ocampo, 20, both stay-in houseboys at Ais home. Investigators said that they took cash, jewelry and other valuables worth some P300,000 after killing the victim.
Sources said Notar and Ocampo, who had been working for Ai for only a few months, then carried out their plan while the victims family was out of the house.
Initial reports showed at 6:15 p.m., the two suspects took a lead pipe and went inside Ais bedroom, where the old woman was about to take a nap. The suspects hit their employer on the head several times with the weapon.
After Ai became unconscious, the suspects ransacked the house and took the cash and valuables belonging to the Ai family.
Notar and Ocampo escaped, leaving the bleeding victim sprawled on her bed.
Ais grandson Renato Ng later arrived from work and rushed the victim to the hospital where she died at around 8 p.m.
Elements of the Central Police District are now conducting follow-up operations on the case. Matthew Estabillo
