2 teeners hurt in car shooting

Two teenage students were seriously wounded after unidentified suspects sprayed their vehicle with bullets during a car chase in Quezon City yesterday morning.
Reymond Joseph Sonza, 17, of Diego Silang Street, Project 4 and Robert Mijares, 16, of Osmeña Street, Industrial Valley Subdivision, Marikina City are confined at the Fairview General Hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds in the body.
Initial investigation at the Central Police District-Station 3 showed that the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. along Visayas Avenue in Quezon City.
Based on testimonies of witnesses, two speeding cars suddenly emerged on the avenue, with one vehicle tailing the Toyota Corolla (TGN 822) carrying Sonza and Mijares.
When the other car caught up with the car of the victims, the unidentified suspects immediately opened fire, peppering the victims car with bullets before quickly speeding off to an unknown direction. Katherine Adraneda
