Major revamp sweeps ranks of WPD

Western Police District (WPD) director Senior Superintendent Pedro Bulaong announced yesterday a major reshuffle of Manilas 11 police station commanders and chiefs of the headquarters units in an effort to provide fast, efficient and effective police service to city residents.
The new set of police officers were to assume their posts effective yesterday after designations were approved by Mayor Lito Atienza.
Former District Directorial Staff chief Senior Superintendent Gil de Castro was designated chief of the Western District Traffic Office vice Superintendent Elmer Jamias who took over the command of WPD-Station 2 in Tondo. Sta. Mesa Police Station 8 chief Superintendent Frumento Villareal replaced De Castro.
Senior Superintendent Danilo Abarzosa of Sta. Cruz police station (WPD-Station 3) is the new commander of Balut police station (WPD-Station 1), whose former chief Superintendent Fernando Robles goes to District Contingency Disaster Management Group (DCDMG). Superintendent Antonio Sebastian was designated officer-in-charge of Station 3.
Superintendent Bernardo Diaz of WPD-Station 2 was designated chief of the Sampaloc police station (WPD-Station 4). Former Sampaloc police station chief Senior Superintendent Amador Pabustan was transferred to WPD headquarters.
Superintendent Manolo Martinez of Ermita police station (WPD-Station 5) is the new commander of Malate police station (WPD-Station 9) whose chief, Superintendent Ramon de Jesus, goes to Pandacan Police Station 10. Superintendent Gorgonio Rosero of the District Operations and Plans Division took over Martinezs post.
Sta. Ana (6) police station chief Superintendent Co Yee Co goes to Sta. Mesa police station. Superintendent Clifton Empiso of the Blumentritt police community precinct is the new commander of Sta. Ana police station.
Superintendent Antonio Sebastian was designated chief of the Jose Abad Santos Police Station 7.
The Chinatown Police Station 11 has a new commander under former Pandacan Police Station 10 chief Superintendent Efren Perez.
The headquarters support units also underwent changes in leadership such as the designation of Superintendent Melvin Mongcal as the chief of District Operations and Plans Division, Superintendent Renato Muyot as chief of the Criminal Investigation Division Unit, Senior Inspector Leopoldo Mangilinan as chief of Theft and Robbery Section and Inspector benjamin Reyes as chief of the anti-carnapping section.
