Investigators said bullets hit the ceiling and windows of the units second floor, where he usually sleeps. The actor was on the third floor when the shots were fired at around 4:45 to 5 a.m.
Police recovered seven slugs outside the townhouse, located on 71 Scout Gandia Street, Barangay Laging Handa. The gate was also shot.
Witnesses said they saw a red Toyota Corolla without license plates cruising the area near Ocampos home. As it passed the townhouse, one of the passengers pulled out a hand gun and peppered the townhouse with bullets. The car sped off after the shooting.
Ocampo was roused from his sleep and immediately called the police.
The actor said he cannot think of any possible motive behind the shooting, claiming he had no enemies. The actor added that he knew no one who could be holding a serious grudge against him.
Operatives of the Central Police District are now conducting follow-up operations. Police said it would be adding more patrols in the Scout area.
