GRO rescued from jealous boyfriend

A guest relations officer (GRO) was safely rescued from her boyfriend who took her hostage in a fit of jealous rage in Valenzuela City the other night.
Senior Superintendent Leopoldo Ureña said Reginald Castardo, 25, of 5094 Independence Street, Gen. T. de Leon is now detained at the police station pending the filing of serious illegal detention charges.
Prior to the incident, victim Maria Theresa Saren, 21, live-in partner of the suspect, said, she and her boyfriend had a heated argument.
The suspect allegedly wanted the victim to stop being "extra sweet" and "permissive" in dealing with customers at the beer joint where she worked.
However, the victim refused to bow to his wishes, saying that being sweet was part of her job.
This only further angered the suspect, who suddenly pulled out a knife, and threatened to kill her. The victim shouted for help catching the attention of neighbors, who immediately called for police assistance.
The police negotiated with the suspect to release his hostage. The suspect shouted back at the lawmen, telling them he would rather see her dead than lose her to another man.
