Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation arrested yesterday a driver who allegedly clubbed to death in Marikina last month a confidential agent serving as an aide of Videogram Regulatory Board chairman Bong Revilla.
NBI assistant director Fermin Nasol identified the suspect as Joy Jaralve, 26, driver, and a resident of Chantilly Villas, Busilac Street, Barangka Drive, Mandaluyong City.
When presented to the media yesterday, Jaralve wept as he denied any knowledge in the killing of NBI confidential agent Vincent Pulgar on Aug. 17.
The body of Pulgar was found in a grassy portion of Daang Kalabaw, Sitio Payong, Concepcion Uno, Marikina City.
But NBI agents said they have a strong case against Jaralve, whose palm prints matched prints lifted from the green Mitsubishi Pajero (VFP-333) belonging to the victim. Cecille Suerte Felipe
