Arkine D. Garcia, or Ken as he is fondly called by relatives and friends, needs all the help he can get. The seven-year old boy is suffering from Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in Blastik Crisis.
He is presently confined at Ward 9 of the Philippine General Hospital undergoing the last cycle of chemotherapy.
Ken graduated from kindergarten at the Celedonio Salvador Elementary School in Paco, Manila. His relatives proudly say he is an outstanding student but his dream of pursuing his education came to a sudden halt when he was diagnosed as suffering from the ailment.
His father, Ronald, is a tricycle driver while his mother, Clarinda, is a plain housewife. They are appealing for financial help so they can pay for the chemo sessions and medicines.
