Underwear stolen

Some P.5-million in expensive ladies’ and men’s underwear were lost by a garments firm to robbers in Valenzuela City yesterday.

Inspector Salvador dela Cruz, chief of the special investigation bureau (SIB), said alleged members of the "Bolt Cutter Gang" robbed Triumph and Boston Products, a men’s and ladies’ garments retailer located at Barangay Paso de Blas, Valenzuela City, owned by Violeta Pang, 40, a Chinese-Filipino businesswoman.

Investigation showed that at about 7:30 a.m. yesterday, Aurea dela Rosa, a secretary of the nearby Linear Construction, noticed the already busted padlock of the store’s front door.

Dela Rosa immediately informed the factory owners. Pang discovered expensive items manufactured by their factory, like shoes and underwear for men and women, were lost and believed taken by the gang. – Jerry Botial
