Jail guard knifed dead

A member of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Muntinlupa City was stabbed dead Thursday night while trying to pacify a group of drunken men in the city.
The victim was identified as Jail Inspector Roy Palo, 37, of Bautista Street, Bayanan, Muntinlupa. He sustained stab wounds in the body and died before reaching the Medical Center Muntinlupa.
Police arrested Eliseo Golez, 28, of Sitio Sto. Nino, West Cupang, Muntinlupa, his brother Emerson, 23, of Castillo Park Subdivision, Almanza I, Las Piñas, and Danbar Balboa, 26, of Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa. The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. along the National Road near the Maderazo Video-Oke in Barangay Tunasan. Palo was on his way home from San Pedro, Laguna with JO2 Donaldo Bautista and an unidentified companion when they chanced upon a group of men in a heated argument. Nikko Dizon
