Investigator PO3 Erron Balauat of the Taguig police Criminal Investigation Division identified the fatality as Mario Osorio, a resident of Block 6, Lot 8, Barangay Upper Bicutan, Taguig. Osorio died as he arrived at the Ospital ng Makati with a single gunshot wound in the head. His stepdaughter survived.
Based on the investigation of the Taguig police, the incident took place at around 6 p.m. inside the residence of Osorio.
