A drinking binge ended violently for a 17-year-old boy in Tondo, Manila, after he was shot dead during a beerhouse brawl last Friday night.
Homicide detectives of the Western Police District said Rogelio Mananquil, of 231 San Leona Road, Del Pan, Tondo, was having a drink with friends in a small beerhouse along San Clemente St. at about 10:20 p.m.
While drinking, police said the victim suddenly threw an empty beer bottle at a nearby table for no apparent reason.
Apparently irked, the two unidentified men seated at the table suddenly drew pistols and shot the victim twice in the body before fleeing the scene.
Mananquil, who was taken by his friends to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Hospital, died along the way. Police are still tracking down the two suspects. Mike Frialde
