Land for housing project in Munti

The Muntinlupa City government has signed a memorandum of agreement with a homeowners group for the disposition of government property which will be financed by the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) under the Community Mortgage Program (CMP).

The property, which is subject for disposition, is a 2002-square meter lot located in Soldiers Hills, Barangay Putatan purchased by the city under its Land Banking for Socialized Housing Program, said Mayor Jaime Fresnedi.

The beneficiary, Muntinlupa Habitat Ville Homeowners Association led by Juanita Paje, is composed of 40 homeless families and is a non-stock, non-profit organization living along Lakeview Homes in Barangay Putatan. The Muntinlupa City Council approved a resolution allowing the city government to dispose the land through CMP to the association as part of its projects for low-cost and mass housing for the underpriveleged and indigent constituents of the city.
