The agent of the National Bureau of Investigation whose identification card was found inside one of the cars used by the kidnappers of Charmaine Dayco Ong, the only daughter in the family which owns the CDO meat processing plant, yesterday surfaced at the NBI headquarters to clear his name.
Accompanied by his lawyer, Carlomagno Uminga, NBI agent Alex Advento told reporters that he was in Manila "following up some papers" on the night of June 13, when Ong was kidnapped.
A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said Adventos NBI identification card with a 2x2 photograph and a business card bearing the name "Alex T. Advento" was found inside a red Nissan Sentra (TPE-218) abandoned on Narra street, Clarkview Subdivision in Barangay Malabanlas, Angeles City, last Sunday.
According to the CIDG, the car was earlier seen parked at 29 California St., Villasol Subdivision, Angeles City where Ong was held captive. The CIDG said the house was occupied by three unidentified men on the night of June 13 and the whole day of June 14. Witnesses told police that the car was left by an unidentified man at around 8 p.m. on June 15. Mike Frialde<
