Korean embassy exec missing

-
A Korean was reported missing the other day due to what police believe to be the work of the "Ativan Gang" in Makati City.

Investigator PO1 Ricky Tan of the Makati Police identified the victim as Young Ho Chung, Third Secretary of the Korean Embassy and a resident of Ritz Tower Condominium in Makati.

The disappearance of Young was reported by an employee of the Korean Embassy to the police last Friday after the Korean national failed to go home to his wife the previous night.

Upon receiving the call, Tan together with PO2 Juancho Ibis proceeded to the Korean Embassy and was informed by Consul Park Bong Su that the victim was with a Korean friend the night he disappeared.

The friend who was identified as Chung Han Young told the investigators that he last saw the victim last Thursday night when the two of them went out.

According to Chung, he and the victim had dinner at around 7:30 p.m. last Thursday night at the Soo Woo Korean Restaurant in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City.

After dinner, the two of them decided to have some drinks at the nearby Jools Club only to realize when they got there that it was closed.

The two then went to the Heritage Money Changer on the same street and while Young was waiting for his money, an unidentified Filipino approached them and greeted them in Korean. – Marvin Sy
