Flight No. SV 866 was about to land at runway 0624 when its pilot noticed a malfunction of its braking system due to steering problem, NAIA officials said.
The pilot advised the control tower for a possible emergency landing at 10 a.m. The plane touched down at 10:10 a.m., overshot the runway and stopped with its front wheel stuck on the grassy portion at the end of the airstrip.
The jet was later towed away from the end of the runway. Most of its 328 passengers did not even know that the plane overshot the runway, officials noted. No one was injured. Rey Arquiza
