Central Police District (CPD) director Chief Superintendent Rodolfo Tor yesterday ordered a deeper investigation into the confiscated 41 kilos of marijuana at a bus terminal along EDSA in Quezon City last weekend.
The directive was issued in order to identify and arrest the four male suspects who transported the contraband from Baguio to Manila.
The seizure of the 41 kilos of dried marijuana leaves was made at around 9:15 p.m. last May 26 in the victory Liner Bus Terminal on EDSA corner Monte de Piedad, Barangay Immaculate Concepcion.
The marijuana was found in two boxes originally used for cigarettes, wrapped in old newsprint and pressed into bricks.
Investigation revealed that the suspects alighted from a bus from Baguio City and flagged down a taxi cab. The suspects then asked driver Loreto Requino to bring them to Dasmariñas, Cavite. Katherine Andraneda
