Despondent gay janitor hangs self

Following an alleged quarrel with his teenage boyfriend, a homosexual janitor committed suicide by hanging himself with an electrical cord inside his room in Sta. Mesa, Manila, early yesterday morning.
Police identified the suicide victim as Pablo Paano, 35, of 358 Parcel St.
According to the victims mother, Gloria Paano, 77, her son arrived home at about 4 a.m. yesterday and revealed that he had had an argument with his boyfriend, a certain Glen.
Police said the victim allegedly threatened to commit suicide after the incident, prompting his mother and other relatives to dissuade him.
Thinking that the situation had been cleared, Gloria allowed her son to go to his room and retire.
