Wealthy aunt cries robbery

Police are now hunting a 28-year-old man who allegedly robbed his wealthy aunt, reportedly the wife of a Pasig City Regional Trial Court Judge, in Phil-Am Homes, Quezon City, Monday.

Complainant Edna Francisco Diamente, 52, a businesswoman, claimed that her nephew, Alvin Lacson, a Manila resident, allegedly stole assorted pieces of jewelry and two licensed firearms, amounting to about P1 million, from her.

Police said Lacson might have stolen the valuables while the Diamente and her husband were abroad. Investigators said that Edna’s husband is a judged of the Pasig City Court, but refused to reveal his name. Initial reports showed that the robbery occurred at about 1 a.m. inside the complainant’s home at 4 Dumaguete St., Phil-Am Homes. – Matthew Estabillo
