Jehovahs Witnesses from Quezon City Circuit 3 congregations will hold their Special Assembly today on the theme "Subject Yourselves to God Oppose the Devil" at the Assembly Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 54 Kaligayahan St., Quirino Highway, Novaliches, Quezon City.
Brother Felix Fajardo of the Watchtower Bible Tract Society of the Philippines will deliver the main talks, "What It Means to Oppose the Devil" in the morning and "Benefiting from Godly Subjection" in the afternoon.
The morning program which starts at 8:55 a.m. will take up the topics "Subjection to God in the Enslaved World," "Manifesting Godly Subjection as Family Members," "Help New Disciples to Stand Firm on Jehovahs Side," and "What It Means to Oppose the Devil."
The talks will be followed by dedication of new Witnesses and their baptism by immersion at a pond right on the assembly hall stage. The afternoon topics are "Youths Who Successfully Resist the Wicked One" and "Youths Who Benefit from Godly Subjection."
Jehovahs Witnesses who number more than 6.5 million coming from 235 countries and islands, believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and instead of adhering to a creed based on human traditions, they hold to the Bible as the standard for all their beliefs.
They worship Jehovah as the only true God and freely speak to others about him and his loving purposes to humankind. Jesus Christ is not a part of a trinity, but as the Bible says, he is the Son of God, the first of Gods creations. He had a pre-human existence and his life was transferred from heaven to the womb of a virgin, Mary. His perfect eternal life laid down in sacrifice makes possible salvation to eternal life for those who exercise faith.
