Three policemen detailed at the Binondo police station (Station 11) of the Western Police District were placed on "floating" status at Manila Police headquarters following the escape of the three petty criminals from the station jail Sunday afternoon.
Placed on floating status on orders by WPD director Nicolas Pasinos were Inspector Rizalino Morales, Senior Police Officer 4 Robin Roman and Police Officer 3 Albert de Guia. The officers were ordered re-detailed to the District Headquarters Support Unit (DHSU).
Reports said inmates Ramil dela Cruz, Anthony Jasmin, Alexander Cortez, and Rodelio Bermudo, all arrested for a robbery-snatching case, escaped from their cell at about 1:35 p.m. by sawing off the bars of their cell, climbing up the ceiling and then jumping off the wall into the street. Dela Cruz, police said, has sent surrender feelers. Mike Frialde
