9-month old girl raped?

-
A 19-year-old unwed mother lost consciousness when she arrived home and found her nine-month-old daugther crying non-stop and her organ bleeding during the weekend.

When she regained her senses, Jolena Alfonso, of Barangay Caniogan, Pasig City rushed her daughter to the nearby Pasig City General Hospital where doctors confirmed that there was a tear in her organ.

Upon receipt of Alfonso’s complaint, Superintendent John Sosito, Pasig City police chief immediately effected the arrest of the victim’s stepfather, Arnel Concepcion, 24. Concepcion vehemently denied molesting or raping the child. He said there were other men living in the house they are renting.

Sosito said the girl was the child of Alfonso by a different man. After she gave birth, Alfonso and Concepcion started living under one roof.

At about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Alfonso left the child to the care of Concepcion to buy something in a nearby market. About a few meters away from their house on her way back, Alfonso heard her child’s incessant crying prompting her to rush inside. She fainted upon seeing her child’s condition.

According to Sosito, blood samples recovered from the baby and the underwear of Concepcion were turned over for chemical examination by the crime laboratory of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame. The results of the tests will be out in a week’s time.

Sosito admitted they have no other evidence as yet to pin down Concepcion for the crime. However, the police will file rape charges against him today in the Pasig City prosecutor’s office.

Concepcion is presently detained at the Pasig City police detention center. – Non Alquitran
