Mini-Olympics for leukemic children set April 24.
The Leukemic Indigents Fund Endowment (LIFE) is once again staging "Sports For LIFE, the annual mini-Olympics for children afflicted with leukemia and other blood disorders. This years event will be held on Sunday, April 21, 7 a.m. to 12 noon at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
LIFE has been staging the event for several years now to provide its member-patients and their loved ones, with respite from the rigors of chemotherapy and other forms of treatment. Through the event, LIFE would also want to raise public awareness about leukemia in children and how this is now treatable and curable provided there are funds for medicine and treatment.
Sports For LIFE 2002 is being supported by San Miguel Corp., Furefoods Corp., Hi-Eisai, Roche Philippines, BANLIC Realty Corp., SIRCRO, TEX-MEX Inc., and a number of individual donors.
