7 persons charged for pilferage

Seven people were charged with qualified theft by the Western Police District for the alleged pilferage of some P1.7 million worth of diesel fuel from a trucking firm in Taguig, Metro Manila reportedly owned by a relative of National Capital Region Police Office director Edgar Aglipay.

Charged by Chief Inspector Jimmy Tiu, head of the WPD Theft and Robbery Section were Daniel Llido, 26, driver, of MLQ Avenue, Lower Bicutan, Taguig; Richard Amansec, 25, driver, of Sitio Libjo, Paranaque City; Marcelino Castillo, 37, driver, of Camangaan, Sison, Pangasinan; Joey Estrelles, 30, driver, of Sitio San Isidro, Bagong Pag-Asa, Quezon City; Nestor Acabado, 21, helper, of 107 Pluto St., Sunvalley, Pasay City; Renante Lobo, 20, helper, of 9 Elisco Road, Ibayo-Tipas, Taguig; and Marcelino Ymana, 27, of Sitio Libjo, Multinational Village, Paranaque City.

According to Tiu, the suspects were allegedly seen by witnesses siphoning diesoline from tanker trucks of the EMME Trucking Group from October last year to last March. The trucking firm is reportedly owned by a relative of Aglipay who was not identified by Tiu. Mike Frialde
