Operation Summer

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Benjamin Abalos Sr. announced that everything is set for the observance of Holy Week next week and the summer vacation.
Dubbed Oplan Sumvac for the summer vacation and Operation Semana Santa for the Holy Week, the MMDA would be joined by the Department of Transportation and Communications and the law enforcement agencies in ensuring safe travel for thousands of vacationers.
Abalos said that the unified vehicular volume reduction program or the color-coding scheme would be suspended from March 25 to April 1.
All of the traffic enforcers have been ordered to stay on duty during the period to provide assistance to all motorists heading out of Metro Manila as well as those visiting the metropolis.
