PNCC, Skyway set assistance centers

Tollway operator Philippine National Construction Corporation (PNCC) and Petron Corporation are all set for the week-long vacation as Filipinos nationwide observe the traditional Holy Week.
Starting March 27 to March 31, 2002, PNCC together with Petron will conduct "Lakbay Alalay 2002," a motorist assistance program for smooth, safe and convenient travel through the North Luzon Tollway (NLT) and the South Luzon Tollway (SLT) throughout the duration of the Holy Week.
Meanwhile, Skyway Corporation, operator of the Magallanes-Alabang elevated Skyway, though not included in the motorist assistance program, will likewise have their own support program during the Holy Week.
To assist the tollway-users during the four-day Holy Week vacation, two motorist assistance service points will be set-up at the NLT in the Sta. Rita and San Simon interchanges while one service point will be set-up at the SLT in the Silangan interchange to provide various services and assistance including mechanical repairs, medical assistance, and towing services. Radio communications, aside from cell phones and patrol teams, will likewise be set-up in each of the three service stations.
Each service point will have at least 10 roving patrols composed of a PNCC guard, a mechanic and a Petron operative. Each roving patrol team will be equipped with a mobile radio, service tools, basic spare parts, drinking/radiator water and snacks to facilitate immediate motorist assistance.
