Press conference seminar

The Policy Review and Editorial Services Inc. (PRESS), an NGO that helps other NGOs improve their communication and advocacy work, will hold a seminar-workshop for information officers on the mechanics of how to conduct a successful press conference on March 20 to 22 at the PRESS office in Pag-asa, Quezon City.
Among the lecturers are Inquirer columnist Conrado de Quiros, who will talk on media perspective of NGO advocacy work; PRESS programs coordinator Lani Villanueva who will discuss ways on how to get a message across to the media; reporter Andrea Trinidad-Echaves who will discuss the techniques in choosing the lead in a news story; PRESS training officer Rey Abella who will talk on tips on how to anticipate questions from reporters; veteran television reporter Jun Bote Bautista, who will talk on how to deal with broadcast media; and Philippine STAR Metro Editor Sammy Santos, who will share tips on how to deal with media in general.
