Las Piñas pre-school kids assured of graduation

-
Some 3,560 pre-school children in Las Piñas City’s day care centers are assured of graduation ceremonies this month, with free togas, souvenir photos and snacks.

Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel "Nene" Aguilar said the free graduation is part of the education program for less fortunate but deserving students in the city which includes college scholars.

"Considering education is top of my administration’s priority, every underprivileged student will get the full benefit of our program and they will enjoy the quality of education similar to those of the private schools. And all these are free of charge," Aguilar stressed.

Pre-school pupils in 62 day care centers in all of Las Piñas 20 barangays enjoy free tuition, uniforms and receive regular school supplies.

Under the Aguilar administration, thousands of children belonging to economically-disadvantaged families in the city have already availed of the free and quality day care services which include free tuition, uniform, school supplies and free graduation.

Kids enrolled in day care centers are also provided with proper nutrition and health care through the stewardship of Aguilar’s wife – Mrs. Imelda Aguilar, who chairs the Las Piñas City Nutrition Council.

Meanwhile, Aguilar announced that at least three more newly constructed day care centers located in Manuyo 1, Villa Isabelita in Barangay Pulanglupa II and Carnival Park in Talon II are ready for the next school year which can accommodate more than 500 children.
