NBI director Reynaldo Wycoco ordered the case transferred from the NBIs National Capital Region office to the bureau Special Task Force under Marianito Panganiban. Wycoco also updated Martinezs relatives yesterday about developments in the case.
"We have no complaints about the way the NBI-NCR had handled the case. It was during their investigation that some developments in the case happened," said Bobby Martinez, younger brother of the missing businessman.
According to the family of the missing businessman, Wycoco decided to have the case transferred from the NCR office to the STF citing the heavy workload now being handled by the NBI-NCR under Edmund Arugay.
"With the special task force now assigned to handle my brothers case, we are more hopeful that something more concrete will happen," said Bobby Martinez.
Meanwhile, Martinezs relatives said that at the moment, they only request Mikes abductors to just inform them where his body was dumped or buried. They added that charging whoever were responsible for his disappearance, is now far from their minds. Mike Frialde
