Strawberry slay witness shows up

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) turned over yesterday to the Southern Police District (SPD) a new witness to the killing of former child actress Strawberry in Las Piñas City last month.

The witness, who claimed he was present in the vicinity of the BF Executive Subdivision when the killing happened, has given a new account of what happened.

The 25-year-old Strawberry, whose real name is Anouk Baldo, was shot in the head at the height of a fight between her boyfriend, John Mark Doromal, and members of the Picar family over a traffic altercation.

Based on the account of the new witness, Doromal and the Picars were both at fault in the traffic altercation that led to Strawberry’s death. The witness said Doromal came to the subdivision where the Picars live to confront one of the brothers.

But before Doromal was able to confront the Picars, his car’s windshield was smashed by a baseball bat. Irked, Doromal allegedly alighted from his car and chased the man with the bat while Strawberry gave chase driving the car.

While the chase was going on, a shot rang out and Strawberry was left fatally wounded.
